Daddy Daddy Daddy

I am now greeted with two cute little boys running down the path saying,"Daddy, daddy, daddy!" while running in place until I can open the gate for them.  I usually put Killian in the truck first, while Beck stands there saying, "Daddy biggie tuck! I wide ( I ride)"  I put Killian in first because the passenger seat in the truck is closer to the dash than my seat.  (Read: Killian can't put his feet on the DVD monitor attached to the headrest on the passenger side)

I am also picking up the boys a little earlier as well now, due to their excitement at wanting to come to my house, they are getting ready earlier.  Madame X and I used to have to coerce them into coming to my house.

While driving to my house both boys have to tell me what they know.  Things like going up a hill (as we drive towards my house), a pawt (park), a hose (horse), I see a biwd (bird), almost to Daddy's howe (house).

They are no longer timid.  They explore every inch of the house.  They used to just play in one room.  Now they are everywhere.  Translation: I now have more to clean up after they leave.

The boys are apparently learning manners now.  Both say please and thank you.  Killian usually adds an extra your welcome.  As in Killian: Thank you!  Me:  You're welcome.  Killian: Welcome.

Beck rubs my face, then says "wisk-O's, poe-ty"

The boys like Ramen noodles.  Around 10:30 or 11:00AM, they ask for noodow's.  Beck likes to sit on the counter and watch the Ramen cook.  Killian likes to color at the bar while waiting for his food.  Both boys are getting better at feeding themselves.  I had hoped for one of them to use the left hand a lot more, but alas, I think I will continue to be the oddball in the family as the only lefty.  And yes, that is the only reason I'm the oddball.

Killian is currently into trains.  He loves to have five engines going at a time.  He will sit in the middle of the tracks and not move a muscle waiting for them to come into his peripheral vision.  He acts like if he moves the trains will run away.  This last Saturday he tried to watch the trains upside down, or stand over them so the engines went in between his feet.

Beck is really enjoying reading about dinosaurs.  He will ask me "what dat one call?"  I will reply with Tyrannosaurus Rex.  Beck's reply," I no like dat one."  "Scawy!"  One of my favorites to tell him is that is a Ducklosaurus because I will say it, and then Beck will repeat, "Duck!".  Hopefully in the future he does not get ducks and dinosaurs confused.  He will be saddened when we go to feet bread to ducks and they aren't ninety feet tall and eat leaves from trees.

I am not liking the new game of throw the plastic balls to Daddy while sitting one foot away from Daddy's face.

Beck likes to sit in an office chair and have me spin the chair really fast.  Once I get Beck good and dizzy, he will laugh and say,"I fwying (flying), I fwying! 'Gin (again)".

Killian has to put his toy dog to sleep on my bed.  But if I go lay on my bed next to the dog, Killian will then throw the dog as far from the bed as he can.  Not sure what that is all about.

The boys wrestle now with one another.  They laugh and laugh.  It is so funny to watch until they bonk heads.

The boys on Saturday kept calling me Mommy.  I'm hoping that is a sign that I'm moving up the primary care ladder in their eyes, and not that I am becoming more effeminate the longer I'm single.

Beck to Grandma: Ga'ma, no go dowstaws (downstairs) with us.
Grandma: But I want to play with Killian
Beck: Oh, Okay

Beck to me as we get to his house to drop them off: I pay ow-side?
Me: You will have to ask Mommy.
Beck runs over to Madame X: Ask. Ask. Ask. Ask. Ask.
I guess I should have said you need to ask if you can play outside, instead of just using the word "ask".  It made me laugh.  Madame X didn't get it, and I didn't explain.

The boys have been sharing so much better.  I don't have to get in the middle of fights anymore.  They use to take one another's toys and then run away holding the toy high in the air.  Now I hear them both say, "thank you brudder".

Beck + Killian x 4hrs = 4 hour nap for dad after they leave

The new game to play when it is time to go.  The boys will run to the other side of a piece of furniture and wait for me to get close to them, then they will run around to the other side.  They are pretty smart at that game.  I'm impressed they don't just run when I stomp my feet to scare them.  They just stand there and laugh, while not budging an inch until I get close.

I see Beck sliding along the floor on his stuffed turtle.  It makes me laugh, so Beck stands up and points at the turtle.  I take that as my que to try and slide along the floor on the turtle as well.
Me: Okay, I'll try to slide on the turtle
Beck: Too big.
(I kneel down towards the turtle)
Beck:WAY too big!

Me to Beck: Come here buddy so I can get your shoes on, it's time to go.
Beck: I tome bat?
Me: Yes you can come back to Daddy's house.
Beck: I tome bat soon?

So that I don't overwhelm you the reader with a million video's I will start posting a video of the day.  Although, that means that by the time the twins turn eighteen I will still be posting video's from when they are two.  This digital age makes being a proud father who thinks his two boys are cutest to walk the earth way easier to take millions of photos/video, and share them with everyone all the while storing the data on a hard drive instead of four hundred boxes of pictures in the attic.

He likes to have his hat "buckled". That means velcro the flaps under his chin.

Beck always seems to be more interested in walking the tracks behind the train

They love to jump on the foam blocks

They love to have me spin the chair and try and get their feet

Daddy wrestling with the boys

Warning: Do not stand in front of an object thrown from this arm.  It will cause severe bodily harm, or even death

He gets so tired, but can't stop playing.  His head just keeps getting lower to the ground

Love reading to them

Killian loves to play the piano

Beck loves to switch the sounds to drums

Killian is holding the balloon up to my ear, is that to catch all the air leaking out of my head?

So excited to hit Daddy in the head

Love that smile

The daily which sucker to I want ordeal

Daddy way too big!

No man can win a two front war

Be vewy vewy quiet.  I'm hunting twains.

We are improving.  That is all that was left on the floor.
